While digging through old work for my portfolio, I came across this grainy 360p video I did while working at the Rockford Register Star. Management was pushing publishing to the web before the story appeared in print, which was implausibly controversial at the time.
The video was supposed to be for just the newsroom, but I see that it got posted to YouTube on April 25, 2008 and now has something like 7,000 views. So here we are.
I miss being this young, fit, and earnest, for sure, but there's plenty of awkwardness there, too.
One other note: I remember losing the battle of shooting this in 16x9 because 4x3 was still the standard in that era (!).
Everything about this video seems impossible.
